According to Father Juan Ruiz, in the General Arrangement of the Parishes of the Diocese of Córdoba in 1890, a parish was established in Hinojosa del Duque under the patronage of San Isidro Labrador. Initially, this parish was temporarily located in the Church of the Hospital de la Santa Caridad, since it offered greater space than the Hermitage of the Holy Titular.
The Church of San Isidro Labrador presents an impressive architecture. Its barrel vault with lunettes and the dome over the transept, adorned with mixtilinear elements, reflect the mastery of its builders. The head of the temple has a flat end wall, while the main door, in a lintel style with granite jambs, adds a touch of elegance to its façade.
