Built around 1752, the Antiguo Ayuntamiento is one of the oldest civil buildings in the town. It served as both the Town Hall and the municipal jail. Originally, the entrance was located on Padre Revuelto Street, but in 1939, the current entrance on Plaza de la Constitución was opened.

In 1873, a clock was installed at the top of the building, and the clock face and bell are still preserved. The mechanism of the clock can be viewed in the Ángel Estévez Ethnological Collection. Today, the building houses the Manuel Campanero Camacho Municipal Library, named after Manuel Campanero Camacho, the father of Rafael Campanero Guzmán, honorary president of Córdoba Football Club.

The Antiguo Ayuntamiento stands as a testament to the towns rich history, blending its past as a civic center with its present-day role in fostering culture and knowledge.
