Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte

Looking directly at the Alhambra, this charming museum is located in the heart of the Sacromonte neighborhood. The purpose of the museum is to recreate the history, customs, and traditions of the cave dwellers.

It features a living cave, a stable cave, and a kitchen cave that illustrate daily life in the area. The museum also explores the origins of the neighborhood in the 16th century, when the Muslim population and nomadic Roma began to settle in the caves. Discovering these caves in the city of Granada, within a tourist enclave, and learning about the customs and traditions of their inhabitants offers visitors a firsthand experience.
