The upper floor houses the Library, Temporary Exhibition Rooms, the Lecture Hall, and various internal work areas, including Administration, Research, Conservation, Restoration, and Outreach departments.
Key collections include Prehistory and Protohistory, with notable artifacts from the Final Bronze Age, such as Phoenician and Tartessian items. The Roman collection, primarily from Itálica, features a significant array of sculptures from the era of Hadrian. The museum also includes medieval, Visigothic, and Islamic artifacts.
Currently, the first floor hosts the Monographic Room dedicated to the Carambolo Treasure.
