Estepona

The Mural Route was initiated in 2012 as part of the "Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol" project, aimed at revitalizing the urban area and promoting culture. These murals are scattered throughout the municipality, both in the old town and other parts of the town, collectively creating an open-air museum.

The murals are highly diverse, with some being large in size and created using various techniques, including oil painting, acrylics, and spray paint. They cover a wide range of themes, from everyday and natural scenes to portraits and abstractions.

Some of the most notable murals include:

"Fishing Day" by José Fernández Ríos:  A depiction of marine life and fishing, located on Calle Terraza.

"Watering the Garden" by Francisco Alarcón: Features a girl watering a garden, situated on Avenida de Andalucía.

"The House of Good People" by Conchi Alvarez: A work honoring the hospitality and kindness of Estepona
