Church of the Savior and Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine Arts houses a large collection of paintings, mainly by provincial artists from the final decades of the 20th century. Two oil paintings by Jorge Latorre Tello, dating from around 1964, stand out in the Tabernacle. One represents an allegory of the Virgin of the Rosary from the Rock of Peñarroya, while the other depicts the visit of the Bishop of Córdoba to the town in the 16th century. Both works were commissioned by the then parish priest, Don Manuel Nieto Cumplido. Furthermore, Jorge Latorre Tello was responsible for the restoration of the 16th-century sculpture of the patron saint, the Virgin of the Rosary, which is preserved in the church of the same name.
