Built in the Gothic-Renaissance style, the church presents an imposing structure composed of three naves without a transept, separated by pointed arches that lead to spacious interiors. With dimensions that could rival those of a cathedral, it measures 53 meters long and 22 meters wide. The Gothic-style nave heads display ribbed vaults dating back to the early days of its construction.
One of the church most notable treasures is its impressive main altarpiece, a 16th-century Renaissance work attributed to Guillermo de Orta and Andrés de Castillejo, with paintings by Leonardo Enríquez de Navarra. Also noteworthy is the Baroque hexagonal altarpiece and dressing room of the Virgin of the Rosary, an 18th-century masterpiece housed in the Tabernacle Chapel.
The church is adorned with numerous works of art, including the Rococo monstrance by the Cordoban goldsmith Damián de Castro and the 18th-century Baroque side door in pink Cabra marble. However, one of the church most iconic elements is its leaning tower, known as "The Asparagus," whose construction began in 1611 and was completed in 1788. Standing 55 meters tall and with a tilt similar to that of the Tower of Pisa, it stands as one of the city most recognizable symbols, visible even from several kilometers away.
