Fairs in the province of Córdoba

The fairs in Andalusia have special meaning due to the specific cultural elements that they contribute to the Andalusian idiosyncrasy. Its livestock and religious origins have made it evolve into the traditional fairs that we know today. Its characteristic elements are: the large façades, the booths, the beach bars, the Andalusian horse, the flamenco dresses, the Andalusian music, the presence of dancing and the fair attractions. This makes it today a cultural event of great importance and great demand from both foreigners and locals.

AUGUST

Feria de Espiel

During the festivities, the lighting is turned on and the queen of the festivities and her ladies are crowned. Numerous cultural, religious and recreational activities take place throughout the fair, highlighting the Espeleño day (Friday) in which everyone meets in the Municipal Tent to enjoy a meal of fellowship (at the beginning of August).

Feria de Aguilar de la Frontera

One of the main festivals in Aguilar de la Frontera is its Royal Fair, which has more than two hundred years of history. It is a variable festival that is usually celebrated at the beginning of August.

Feria San Lorenzo de La Rambla

From August 8 to 15. During these dates the City Council organizes different sports, recreational and cultural activities (concerts, music, etc...) culminating these celebrations on the 15th with the great burning of fireworks
