The Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama Natural Park

In Málaga, it represents the highest part of the Axarquía region, while in Granada it descends to the lands of Alhama de Granada. This park houses the Tejeda and Almijara National Hunting Reserve.

The Sierra Tejeda, the westernmost, is characterized by its solid limestone and some Eocene terrain formed by sandstone and marly limestone. The Sierra Almijara, the largest and easternmost, features dolomitic marble formations, constituting one of the main massifs of its kind in the country. La Maroma, with an altitude of 2,080 meters, is the highest and most emblematic peak of the group, offering spectacular panoramic views and impressive geological diversity.
