Church of Santa Cecilia in Ronda

The main façade of the church, built in sandstone, features the coat of arms of the Trinitarian Order in its center, adorned with elegant semicircular arches. Inside, the church is organized into three naves, the central one crowned by an impressive barrel vault decorated with human heads. The pillars supporting this vault feature Corinthian pilasters, adding a touch of sophistication to the sacred space. The dome, located in the transept, contributes to the majestic atmosphere.

During Holy Week in Ronda, the Church of Santa Cecilia becomes the starting point for two very popular brotherhoods. On Holy Monday, the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Praying in the Garden and Our Most Holy Consolation of Sorrows depart. On Good Friday, the Venerable Trinitarian Brotherhood of Christ of Remedies and Our Most Holy Sorrows departs. These processions are emblematic events that are part of the citys religious and cultural fervor.

Thus, the Church of Santa Cecilia not only stands as a historical and architectural monument in Ronda, but also acts as a center of devotion and tradition that unites the community during significant moments, such as Holy Week.
