The main tower, known as the Keep, is preserved almost at its original height and is located next to the gatehouse. This tower has an upper chamber covered by a groin vault.
The Castle Fortress has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest, underscoring its historical and architectural importance in the town of Castro del Río.
