Información

Casa Museo Don Bosco

Originally a private residence, the house belonged to engineer Don Francisco Granadino Pérez and his wife, Doña Dolores Gómez Martínez. Without descendants, the couple donated the house to the local Salesian Catholic Congregation. Until 2008, the house primarily served as a sanatorium for elderly members of the religious order.

Historical and Artistic Heritage
The building is a true treasure of the historical and artistic heritage of Ronda. Among its most notable elements are:

  • Decorated Patio: With tiles inspired by Nasrid design and a collection of regional ceramics, the patio is a clear example of local craftsmanship of the time.
  • 19th Century Tapestries: Featuring pastoral motifs, these tapestries add an elegant and rustic touch to the interior.
  • Walnut Wood Furniture: Hand-carved, the furniture follows the Castilian style of the 18th and 19th centuries, with the main living room fireplace being particularly noteworthy.

A Garden with Unmatched Views
The garden of the Casa Museo Don Bosco, built on the edge of the "Tajo" of the city, offers stunning views of the Guadalvín valley and the majestic landscape of the Sierra de Grazalema. It also features a balcony and a unique viewpoint towards the Puente Nuevo, the most emblematic monument of Ronda.
