Bioparc Fuengirola

In 1999, the park underwent a complete renovation and adopted the name it bears today: Bioparc Fuengirola. But the most notable transformation occurred in 2010, when it was officially renamed, marking a new era in animal conservation.

One of the jewels of this sanctuary is the Indo-Pacific habitat, inaugurated in 2014. Here, visitors can marvel at the presence of the imposing Komodo dragon, the worlds largest and most venomous lizard, now available for viewing in Andalusia for the first time.

Bioparc Fuengirola not only offers a unique animal-watching experience but is also actively committed to conservation. It collaborates with the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) on various projects, from protecting Madagascars wildlife to captive breeding of endangered species such as the pygmy hippopotamus, the coastal gorilla, and the Bornean orangutan.

Explore the parks diverse habitats, from the vibrant scenery of Madagascar to the lush Congo Valley. Discover creatures ranging from ring-tailed lemurs to majestic western lowland gorillas. Immerse yourself in Southeast Asia and encounter the fearsome Sumatran tiger or the playful Bornean orangutan.

Every corner of Bioparc Fuengirola is a window to the natural world, an invitation to understand, appreciate, and protect the diversity of life on Earth. Come and join us on this adventure of conservation and discovery!
