The Town Hall of Rute, in collaboration with the Association of Anise and Liqueur Manufacturers of Rute, erected this monument, which was inaugurated on May 13, 1995, as a sign of respect for the culture and tradition it represents for our town.
An old still proclaims with new forms the memory of this tradition. Here lies, dreaming of sunsets. Maturing, aged, distilled essences. Here lies, upon the hard buried limestone, the flower of anise, brought from Rute.
