Peña Juan Breva, Flamenco Art Museum

Sanctuary of Flamenco in Málaga

Peña Juan Breva is a cultural space dedicated to flamenco art in Málaga. Founded in 1961, it is one of the oldest and most emblematic peñas in the city. Its name pays homage to Juan Breva, a famous flamenco singer from Málaga who contributed to the dissemination of flamenco in the region.

Inside the peña, we find the museum, which houses a rich collection of objects related to the history of flamenco, including costumes, guitars, photographs, and memorabilia of recognized artists. The collection highlights the importance of flamenco not only as a musical genre but also as a cultural manifestation that includes dance and poetry.

In addition to its function as a museum, Peña Juan Breva regularly organizes live flamenco performances, workshops, and conferences. These activities allow visitors to enjoy flamenco music and dance in an authentic atmosphere, as well as promote flamenco culture among new generations.
