Discover the Sacra Capilla del Salvador in Úbeda!

Located in the heart of the Renaissance city of Úbeda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sacra Capilla del Salvador del Mundo is one of Spain’s greatest architectural treasures. Built in the 16th century by order of Francisco de los Cobos, secretary to Charles V, this funerary chapel is a masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance that blends grandeur, symbolism, and devotion.

Upon entering, you will be awestruck by the magnificent main altarpiece, created by Alonso de Berruguete, which depicts the Transfiguration of Christ, enveloping the space in a celestial aura. The chapel is a perfect synthesis of architecture, sculpture, and spirituality.

Strolling through Vázquez de Molina Square, where it is located, feels like traveling back in time to the golden age of the Renaissance. Surrounded by palaces and monuments, the chapel stands as a symbol of power and historical legacy. Don’t miss this unique experience, where the beauty of art and history comes to life.
